Work on the studio/gallery is coming on well. Floors and walls have been painted, a hanging system for paintings is being installed this week and signage will all be ready in time for Easter. The studio area has been in operation for a couple of months already.
I plan to open gallery the weekend before Easter (Saturday 4th of April to be exact). I am already working in the studio and visitors will be very welcome to come and have a look around or watch me working if they are interested.
I now have a dedicated studio and gallery space, which will be opening to the public Easter next year! I will be there most days from now on, busy painting, but the gallery space won’t be ready until after Christmas. Professional signs are also in the pipeline so you won’t be able to miss it. The studio gallery is in the old Carinish Primary School, now owned by Comann Eachdraidh Uibhist a Tuath, the North Uist Historical Society. Original artwork and a range of prints will be available from the gallery and online. Here’s a picture of the studio space. I will post pictures of the gallery once it’s ready.
